I did some research again and it seems to be a way to build patio decks, which have no grooves.
Such wood decks but are preferably made of WPC, where there are different systems. This is about with a special tongue and rubber [pictured]. Here are the boards on both sides have a groove into which the rubber is then inserted.
Another way the "closed transfer" of WPC decking is the use of planks with tongue and groove. In this closed transfer must be proper ventilation of the bottom and the substructure must be guaranteed.
